An excited Amokachi took to his official Twitter handle (@FrenzziiiBull) to share the good news. Amokachi, announcing the deal for his 20-year old sons posted on Twitter: “Two sons – one proud father. Thanks to @JSHercules and @besiktas for giving us a chance. #beşiktaş #hercules”
Although the financial details of the deal have not been made public, both players were pictured in Besiktas jersey in an official unveiling after they signed a one-year contract with their new club.
According to reports, the twins flew to Istanbul to undergo one-week trial with the U21 team of Besiktas in the end of July, after which they signed contracts with the club following sterling performances during the trial.
After a successful career for Amokachi, both of his sons will be hoping to follow suit and surpass their father’s record who from 1996 to 1999, played 77 matches for Besiktas in which he struck 19 goals. During his time in Turkey, Amokachi was popularly referred to as the Bull.
Amokachi is currently the manager of Finnish 2nd division side JS Hercules, making him one of the very few African coaches at helm of affairs with an European club.
