New York millionaire businessman, Sammy Almahri, is accused to have strangled his British girlfriend Nadine Aburas whom he met on a muslim dating site to death in a hotel room. He then hanged a ‘do not disturb sign’ on the door of Room 203 of the Future Inns in Cardiff to enable him time to escape.
According to reports, body of 28-year-old Miss Aburas was found much later by staff at the Future Inns hotel in Cardiff. The victim who lived alone in her own flat in Cardiff Bay, was said to have met Almahri on an internet dating site called MuslimMatch.com, they became friends and contacted each other regularly by telephone, text and Skype.
Her meeting with him on that day wasn’t their first meeting. The reason he killed her is unknown.
Almahri was eventually located in Tanzania and arrested on an Interpol arrest warrant and returned to Britain to face justice for his crimes.
